Thank you so much for your great work.
A couple of weeks ago I kissed in the mouth a man which I do not know and he could be a sexually promiscuous man, I don`t know his HIV status. I had a wound on my higher lip from 2 days ago, which was already healing and had a crost- dry cover over it ( a dry wound). The wound was small like 5 mm. He did not have any visible blood on his mouth and he was not having any visible wounds. But he could have had scrathes that I did not see.
Is there any possibility that I could get infected in that way by kissing? I am very scared so I am very grateful for your answer.
Thank you very much.
I gave a gay person oral sex for me.
When I came back, I saw a scratch on my penis. If my partner has oral bleeding, I have hiv infection
HI, thanks for your website. It's very useful.
I'm have a question: i have a contact between skin and skin with my teacher. If i and my teacher have open wound and bleeding, hiv can be transmission ? and it is the high or low risk.
I hope see your answer soon.
I am trying to educate myself and I was just wondering if you could please explain in detail why casual contact with someone with HIV is no risk. What if someone with HIV began to have a bleeding cut while casually hanging out with them and you accidentally came in contact with the infected blood by brushing up against them, hugging or shaking hands with them? Is this still considered casual contact even if they are bleeding? What if the HIV negative person had a cut or scrape on them as well. I am just wanting to make sure that it is safe for me to be around someone that I know with HIV as I have a baby and would never want to put him at risk. Thank you so much in advance.
Thank you for all the wonderful work you guys are doing!
I was fooling around with a woman of unknown status (Let's assume she is positive) and she put her finger in her vagina and then put it down my pants and accidently scratched my shaft. Could this transmit? Please answer
I have a question about HIV transmission:
A friend of mine had a splinter in his finger and used my tweezers to remove it. After he used the tweezers I put them in a mug of boiling water and left them for two hours. After, I put them in a mug with kitchen floor cleaner and boiling water for 10-15mins then let them air-dry overnight. I used the tweezers about 12 hours after my friend to remove from dry skin from the inside of my nose.
I am almost certain that there is no risk for HIV transmission in this situation but I would just like some advice from your helpline.
I had a very small cut in my finger, It had bleeded.
After 1 hour I went to sauna, touched to penis. I did not touch sperm but probably mail liquids, pre-cum. But there was no blood on my finger at that time.
What is the risk?
Please answer because I am very worried
Today I have squeezed acne and bleeding
What I care about is a moment later I see my hand has a big bloody stain.
If the blood stain is of another person and when it is fresh, it comes into contact with blood when I squeeze the acne, I am at risk or no.
I fingered a woman who was on her period. I wore a latex examination glove on the hand I fingered her with. There was vaginal fluid mixed with a little blood on the outside of the glove. After the fingering, I carefully removed the glove and my fingers were completely dry no fluids whatsoever on them. I later washed my hands with soap and water after getting home in 15 minutes. I have the following concerns:
1. Say I have some thin peeling skin (not bleeding or painful) just above the cuticle on my fingers, is this an opening that would allow the HIV viral particles to enter?
2. Does it make a difference that I used a latex glove for the fingering?
3. The girl was quite wet during the fingering as we did some foreplay (kissing and touching) so i did not use any lube. My fingering was not rough or aggressive and I'm sure the glove did not break..is this OK?
4. About 30 minutes before the fingering I had washed my hands with water dried them and then rubbed a little Vaseline/lotion on my hands as I usually do. As I was making my way to her home I put my fingers in my pocket and I also tried on another glove before fingering her, which i then discarded because I tore it by mistake. i am sure that any leftover residue (if there was any) from the Vaseline/lotion on my fingers was gone because my fingers/hands felt completely dry before the fingering..i read that oils can weaken latex so would microscopic residues of lotion that I had rubbed on my fingers 30 minutes prior to the fingering episode weaken the latex?
Thank you for your help
I got two stitches from an accident, My concern is I wasn't sure if the instruments they used were sterile. I only noticed that the syringe and suture were new. But there was no noticeable blood stained on the instruments.
Would it be possible to transmit HIV from this. I was the only patient that night. I assume if there was HIV, then its been exposed to the environment.
