Dirty needle exposure!

Hi,

I was injected with a dirty needle, ( was deceived about this too, had a very sick individual in my apt, unfortunately)10 weeks ago, I’ve developed candidiasis, and burning sensations in my arms.

However I have had 4th gen lab tests at 13,22,28,35,40,44 &56 days, all non reactive.

What gives? The ID specialist thinks I would have had a poz test by now if i was infected.

Thanks!

I am scared to have infected my ex-girlfriend

I have had unprotected sex with someone I now believe to be HIV-positive and the day after I had unprotected sex with an ex-girlfriend. I tested myself the day after I had sex with my ex-girlfriend and the test has shown up negative. I do know it can take a long time for HIV to show up on a test. But I need to know: Is there a possibility I infected my ex-girlfriend with HIV even though I tested negative the day after?

Is it reliable to do HIV PCR test after 3 years?

Is it reliable to do HIV PCR test after 3 years and how is the HIV PCR test sensitivity after 3 years of post exposure?

Window period of hiv test

After PEP TREATMENT FINISH. When should I test for hiv test....

HIV - exposure question

I had a handjob 17 weeks ago from someone and I didn't know her status. I touched her vagina and immediately touched my penis, sucked her nipples/

I had multiple RNA and 4th gen tests out of anxiety and all were negative. I am having lot of symptoms since my exposure like pain in armpits be hindears in the thighs. Is there a chance that I got infected with all my negative results?

Is there chance for the virus levels to be very low to be detected by these tests at 16 weeks

Hiv

I had high risk exposure. I had sex with a women who hiv status is unknown on July 4 2019 I used a condom but it broke as soon as I realized I stopped. On august 10 2019 I(5 weeks) I got 4th gen test result was negative . Today October 1st(89 days from possible exposure) I went and got a alere determine Hiv-1/2 ag/ab combo finger prick. Also negative. My question is should I re test or can I be sure that I'm completely clean?

PEP Failure

Good evening everyone. First, let me start by appreciating what you do here, using your time and resources to serve humanity. May God continue to give you all the strength to do more. Thanks.

During a vaginal sex (which lasted for about 4 minutes) with a CSW in Nigeria on June, 20 2019, I had finished and pulled out only to discover that the condom I used had ruptured. The following day (21 June 2019) I went to a clinic and was given one month course of PEP which I started within 23hrs. During the time I was taking the medication I experienced fatigue on 3 different occasions, cluster headache and intermittent nausea. I finished the medication on 20 July 2019 and since then have experienced the following symptoms: cluster headache that cause me pain in my eyeballs, pain that moves around all my joints, pain in my groin, lower back pain, light painful sensation in my armpit and under my jaw, recurrent nausea. 9 days after the course of PEP I developed a very high fever that will come, go, and come back again putting me in a state of feeling extremely hot and then extremely cold again, night sweats, pain in my calf and behind my knees that extends towards my thighs, peripheral neuropathy that causes tingling and numbness in all my limbs, nasal congestion in one of my nostrils that gets worse at night, light sour throat for few days, pain in my eyes and ears, chest pains, body ache and cramps.

This is my test update. 9 weeks post finishing PEP and 13 weeks post exposure, 3rd generation Alere antibody test-negative, but I am still having joint ache that moves around all my joints starting from my ankle joints to my knees, to my elbow joints and waist, and fingers. The pain would come and go and come back in a few days. Occasional body aches, pain in my eyeballs, nasal congestion in one of my nostrils that gets worse at night, few pimple-like rashes on my shoulders that would appear and go away in a few days and come back again, occasional chest pains. I think the PEP failed me and I am seroconverting. Please what do you think? I have read stories of people that seroconverted 6 months after taking PEP. Do you think I am one of such persons?

hiv question - 3rd time answer please

I had an exposure 115 days (16.5 weeks) ago ( protected sex at a massage parlor, un covered blow job and pussy licking). NO PEP

I had a HIV 4th gen and HIV RNA test ( both at Loabcorp and Quest) on week 6, 12 and 15. All were Non reactive(for 4th gen) and NON detectable(for RNA). Can I 100% consider conclusive HIV negative with my week 15 test( 105 days after exposure). I read some threads about 2nd hiv window period and late seroconverstion in some people. Would those people also be conclusive by week-15. Also on some websites it still says they recommend another test on 6month mark, is completely outdated info.

is there any possibility or scenario for antibodies and antigens to stay at a very low un detectable level for the 4th gen and RNA tests on week-15

I wanted to make sure that am 100% safe with my 3 neagtive results and can safely move on with my normal life and sexual activities.

HIV Risk/Test Accuracy

I'll keep this as brief as possible. I'd love to get an answer because I am feeling pretty anxious. I'd first like to thank you all for the amazing work you do.

Here are my questions. I had unprotected sex with another male (I was the insertive partner) two-and-a-half years ago. I got a rapid blood test performed at 4 weeks. The test was 3rd generation, I believe. The result was negative. I followed up at 74 days (10 weeks and 3 days post-exposure) and received another negative. The results came back within a matter of minutes (is this normal?). Shortly after this, the local testing clinic in my area stopped providing the tests because the nurse who administered them retired. I was supposed to go for my final test at week 12/13 but never did, assuming my negative was a good sign. Was this a mistake?

Since that time, I've had protected sex with three individuals. I understand this is not a risk, but during the last encounter, the condom I was wearing rode up (but did not come completely off or break). Is this a risk? The encounter happened six months ago, and I was never tested. I'll be honest and say that what's prompting my anxiety is a recurring rash on my torso. I know symptom diagnosing is ridiculous, but anxiety isn't logical.

Could you please tell me 1) how reliable my 74-day results were and 2) if I had a risk with this other encounter? Thank you so much! Hope you all have a blessed day. :)
