I had an exposure due to broken condom with a CSW about 4 months ago.
This is my only exposure.
After that I got tested few times with 4th generation DU test as below.
1. 6 Weeks after exposure - NonReactive.
2. 10.5 weeks after exposure - NonReactive
3. 13 Weeks after exposure - NonReactive.
in between , I used a dose of antibiotic for throat infection & also eye drops with steroids.
Would this affect the test results ?
Should I consider these results as conclusive or test after 6 months.
thanks for your help in advance.
I had unprotected sex with a sex worker.after 4 days I was placed on 30 days PEP (Yes, I know it is late). I completed the 30 days and 4 weeks post PEP (8.5 weeks post exposure) I had 2 Rapid finger prick tests. Both came back Negative.
1. I was wondering if PEP has any chance at working after 3 days ?
2. What are the chances of it interfering with an antibody test at 8 weeks post exposure ?
Thanks for your time

Recently on holiday I developed a skin rash on my lower and upper arms, both sides, only on the outer side, not the inner side. Not stingy at first I turned burning (like a cold burn sensation) overnight. I was worried and contacted a local doctor. He wasn't sure what to make of it and said it was a viral infection/rash in combination with an allergic reaction and he prescribed a cortisone cream to apply. At home 4 days later -the rash had subsided a bit, but came back I went to my generalist doctor and she said it would be more like a hives reaction to sun exposure or sun cream lotion. As I was about to depart on another trip she gave me a cortisone injection. The rash then disappeared with that. 2 weeks after this rash, and a week after the cortisone injection I get night sweats for about 6 nights. I now worry sick that both are related and are ARS symptoms.
My last sexual contact goes back 11 weeks prior to this rash and was what I believe a safe contact: some physical contact, some licking (balls, pubic area, but not the penis), mutual masturbation, being facesit and some kissing there but no real rimming) and me giving oral sex with a condom. I am in general panicky about body liquids (saliva, sweat, precum, cum) and avoid that. Despite this and in hindsight and in relation to the rash and the night sweats I am overwhelmingly afraid and wonder if there might have been a risk there.
To calm my mind, I am extremely anxious to take a test -have always been in the past- I am trying to find some very concrete answers with relation to ARS symptoms
1. Can conversion symptomps occur as late as 11 weeks after a contact?
2. Do ARS symptomps present themselves at the same time - the rash and the sweats are 2 weeks apart.
3. Are the symptomps as described above consistent with ARS symptoms in your professional opinion.
Thank you very much for your advise!
I had a risky exposure on Jan. 17, 2019. I tested negative at 13 days (RNA), 18 days (RNA), 20 days (RNA), 27 days (4th gen), 34 days (4th gen), 48 days (4th gen) and 90 days (4th gen). What are the chances I could still be positive? I haven't had any risky encounters since the initial one. What would cause someone to not develop antibodies until after 90 days?
I have meet someone that is HIV (Undetectable). She has been Undetectable for a little more then 3 years. I am planing to use a condoms and seeing a physician PrEP. I have a clean bill of health.
But when it come to Oral Sex giving and receiving. What are my Risks?
Hello, I have been tested for HIV here in the Caribbean Islands. I don't know how safe practices are in use here, the building was not in good condition and health clinic had cotton swabs dipped in alcohol and was not a pleasant atmosphere to get tested at. but i wanted to get tested so i got 4th generation test and a uni-gold test at the same time at the same clinic. their policy is to test any patient with 2 HIV test to rule out false negative. I recently saw a outbreak of HIV in a 3rd world country where needles where shared and people got HIV. I didn't let them draw any type of blood from a syringe. But they use the "Lancet" to pink prick my finger, I always get paranoid where i am in this kind of situation. Can you tell me if "Lancet's" are reusable ? or any chance of possibility of them using them ? there were bunch on them in a container. should i be concerned in this situation ? ever since i read about recent HIV outbreak, i am really concerned. Will the cotton swabs or tables or any atmosphere in the clinic would place me at risk ? should i get tested again ? please advise me! really concerned. Thanks for this service.
I recently met a guy. We mostly did orals (69) and I rubbed my dick over his ass. The tip of my dick may have entered for 2-3 seconds into the guy's anus - no absolute penetration occurred. I might have been pre-cuming. What are the chances of being exposed to HIV? I'm unsure of his status.
