Hello, I'll try to make long story short as much as possible.
On April 18th I've had unprotected oral sex exposure with unknown guy. The exposure was including both fellatio and cunnilingus and while performing fellatio he never ejaculated in my mouth. The whole process lasted for less than 20 minutes and It wasn't any of my concern until six weeks post this exposure. I started getting very sore throat with enlarged lymph nodes in my neck and armpits followed by muscle and joints pain. I also had white patches on the back of my throat that are still present today (12 weeks post exposure). I checked up with my family doctor who prescribed me penicillin for throat but It never helped and my throat is still present. Exactly six weeks post exposure I went to take tests for STD's including HIV and all results came back negative. The nurse told me because of my risk I shouldn't be concerned anymore about HIV infection and she even told me It's not necessary to get retested again but If I want just to give myself peace in mind I can get another test 12 weeks after possible exposure. I tried to listen to her advice and move on with my life but I started getting even more symptoms such as very itchy skin rash on my arms and chest as well as genital yeast infection. Dry cough was also present for a short time but now it seems to be returning. All these symptoms don't seem to go away and they are occurring over and over again so I decided to went for the second test after 12 weeks and currently I'm waiting for results.
I'm very scared and don't know what to think because I'm driving myself crazing by googling symptoms and although the nurse is convincing me my risk is almost negligible and even if there was risk Hiv test done at 6 weeks would in 95% of the cases picked up infecton by then. I'm going trough a lot and I'm not sure how will I handle this please give me your opinion of what are my chances of being contracted with HIV.
I had made a very bad mistake. I am a heterosexual man 31 years old who just got sexually experience with another male.
here is what we did.
I unpackage a condom and put it on the night stand.
He started masturbating me without condom, his hand back and forth to his pene.
then, i started masturbating him without condom, my hands back and forth as well.
after 5 min doing all i mentioned above. He grabbed the condom i unpackaged from the night stand and put it on the head of my pene. then i help to unrolled it down to the base of my pene.
after that He started sucking my pene for about 3 min.
I also put a condom on his pene and sucked him for about 2 min.
i did not feel pre cum since he was wearing a condom that i myself opened it.
after that we he wanted me to penetrate him, so he tryied to sit down on my pene
but it did not enter to his anus (maybe very very very!! little dipped in it but still the condom was on my pene)
I attempted to penetrate him 4 times with not success, because my pene became a little bit soft
and i was having anxiety due to this new experience i was having. There was not eyaculation while i was doing it.
after we gave up, i decided to masturbate myself, pull out the condom, saved it in my pocked to later water test it. and i finished myself. He never finished so i did not even touch his semen but pre cum yeah.
based on the risk i had. what is the chance for me to get HIV from him?
Do you think as a nurse or have you ever heard of someone contracting hiv this manner?
from your point of view do you think i have to go and get tested for hiv?
please answer my question you would be helping two life my wife and mine.
Good day. I had an awkward night with a sex worker last September. We had French kiss ( I had a cavity in my teeth and I do not remember whether there was obvious blood or not in her mouth) , rubbing my penis (unprotected) on her vagina without inserting and 3 times protected vaginal sex with her as long as I remember the condoms were intact. Starting point of awful days was at 29 days after exposure by getting a cold-like and maddening anxiety. Day by day, I was finding new symptoms (as I thought). I felt fluctuation pains inside of arm’s muscles. Moreover, I was a little bit feeling cool on my both hand until I wore a jacket which somehow disappeared them from days of 42 to 48. At 42 days after my risky action when I thought I was HIV positive, my 4th Gen HIV Elisa test came out Non-Reactive. I could not believe the test result. I assumed that something goes wrong on my body not to produce enough antibody in order to be diagnosis by test. Further, I went to the same Lab (a private lab in Iran) to retest at 12 weeks mark which again was Non-Reactive through 4th Gen Elisa. After that, I started thinking that definitely the Lab's Technician was not master to conduct the test although he told me he was experienced about 2-3 years in immunology diagnosis departments. I could not help thinking myself until 200 days when I went to another lab to retest because of my killer anxiety regarding unreliability of last couple tests. The new Lab uses ECL method which is fully automated diagnosis screening method. Again came out non-Reactive. I just got calmed down for a while. After one month, again anxieties came into my mind that may be they did something wrong. Of course, most probably my worries are somehow due to obsessions. Now, I would like you to assure me whether my exposure was risky? Was my teeth made French kissing risky action for HIV transmission? Were my ARS related to HIV or not. Thanks a lot
Hi m a male 22, i had unprotected and oral sex in bangkok 1 month ago from today. I became sick after 5 days of exposure ,
Weakness, body pain, mouth ulcer for a week, signs of blisters but eventually didnt grow as i ignored and didnt touch it, bit of itches everywhere in the body(not in genitals), diarrohea for almost 2 weeks and now my diarrohea has dissapeared. But now there are penile pearly papules(nt sure if they were there before cz i never noticed) and few dots on the head of my penis and its dry and wrinkly specially right after masturbating. Sometimes its itchy as well and from last week till the date i have pain while, after and before urinating and I have been lately feeling weak and concerned about having hiv or stds but theres nth i can do as its only the 35th day after the exposure.
Ive had antibody and blood and stool test 2 weeks after exposure, undoubtly the result was negative and everything was okay as hiv takes 3 months to be active and be seen on the test.
I have nothing to do now except wait for another 2 months and get tested or do i have any other alternate ways of knowing about my status or i dont know what to do. What can i do now ? Please help
M dying of depression and recently suffering a relationship problem so i have had thoughts of suicide as well. But i have controlled till now.
P.S. The sex i was talking about was the 1st time i had after exactly 2 years (though i have had sex 5 or 6 times before going overseas) and it was the night just before i got back to my home country from overseas exactly after 2 years. And went back overseas exactly after 18 days of exposure.
I dont know if this information affects my chances of having stds or hiv but just mentioned it.
Thanks in advance
So a month and a half ago I had sex with a girl a barely know. We had vaginal intercourse and I used a condom all the time. I performed oral sex and she rubbed her genitals with mine (no condom in this case) so after that I got really scared and took a 4th generation ELISA (Ac. Anti VIH1 y 2/ Ag P24) at day 39 (0.18) NO REACTIVE and at day 50 (0.10) NO REACTIVE. So I want to know if theres a risk of contracting HIV through genital rubbing. I know there´s a chance of infection through oral sex but is close to zero, right? And I want to know how reliable are those tests. I want to take another test the 79th day, I know is the 84th day to be conclusive but I´m going to work on the countryside and I really can't take the test after the 79th day. Am really losing my mind over this. Does it chance a lot if the test is taken at 79 day and not at 84? Please, help me. I also read that the CDC says that after 6 weeks is conclusive right? And there´s no need for more testing.
Approximately 3 days ago I had sex with a CSW. During this encounter, I performed oral sex on her but for a very short amount of time (kissing, not really licking), and I am not sure if I had any sores in my mouth, but when I took time to notice that evening and the following morning, I didn't see or feel anything unusual. She also performed oral sex on me, but I was wearing a condom and ejaculated in the condom in her mouth. This was the extent of our activity.
Six months prior to this, I had a different encounter with a CSW (also the first time I really thought about the possibility of contracting HIV) where we did oral/protected vaginal sex, and I made sure to get tested regularly afterwards. My last HIV test, taken sometime before the encounter 3 days ago, was negative. During those six months, the thought of having possibly contracted HIV really wore me down mentally, and it is an awful feeling to know I have to go through another six months of hell in order to clear the HIV-possibility for this last encounter.
I just have a few questions that I am hoping can set my mind at ease. 1) What is my risk of having received HIV? 2) Do you recommend that I get tested given my experience? 3) If I were to take a 4th Gen Antibody/Antigen test (available at a clinic nearby) when would I need to get tested to get a conclusive result, or are there any tests that provide conclusive results before the standard six months (all the tests I have taken were 3rd gens)?
Please help. I'm very anxious and worn out from the fear and just can't think that this nightmare has begun again.
I had an encounter with someone online, i kind of hate myself for it, but please address my concern.
i am a male i was with another male, first time.
1. mutual unprotected handjob (unfinished)
2. unprotected rubbing penes for about 1 min ( not head to head contact) unfinished.
3. protected mutual oral sex for about 1-2 min (unfinished)
4. protected attempting insertive anal sex, unsuccesfull penetration due anxiety and my pene got soft.
i attempted to penetrate him, 3 times and it could not go in, he had little bit of lube on his ass.
5. i finished myself
6. he never finished himself.
7. I brought my condom to my place, and filled it with water for a leakage test.
it was intact, not leak, no tear,no break...
Should i go for an HIV duo test at 28 days? if negative should i trust it?
Do you see any potential hiv exposure on the situation i just described you?
Did i protected good enough ?
Dear doctors and writers,
Last night I had a "stupid night" I am still regretting.
This was the first time I had sex with a man, and I didn't find it enjoyable at all.
I want to a male sauna and had sex with two guys, giving them passive blowjobs and then (with one of them) anal sex with condom, in this case outside of the pool, in a private room.
When we finished having sex (it lasted few minutes) the boy didn't even ejaculated and we went back to the swimming pool.
I have to say that, after the anal sex I saw on the towel a tiny tiny tiny quantity of blood (or maybe was just mucus, light was very low).
Once we were back in the water, we talked for 5 minutes (still under water) and then the second guy invited me to sit on his legs. While I was seated on this laps, his penis was touching my anus a couple of times.
I also suffer of little hemorroids, I have "two little balls" hanging out since probably 10 years but I never cured them since they never game me any problem/hitch/pain.
Can my anus situation improve the chances of getting infected?
Left for granted that I will take the test in the next weeks, how likely is that the second guy's precum could have infected me?
Does precum get diluited in water? The pool also was chlorinated, does it help?
My question is as stated above. I am a 23. Currently healthy, living with my partner which has been with me for almost 3 years. I had a crazy night 1 month ago (May 27th) and I did oral sex to another male unprotected but it did not last longer then 1 minute. I also had protected anal sex (me being receptive). In which case I brought the condom, I checked it before opening the package and fully unrolled the condom on his penis. He did not have marks, bruises or sores. Sex did not last more then 5 minutes until he ejaculated inside then condom while inside of me. I proceeded on taking the condom off him, closing it up and throwing it away. After that I washed my hands. I know the condom did not break since I examined it. Even tho I am very paranoid I went to my doctor and explain the situation and told me I am a low risk case. Well, I had a few test done 2 weeks after that encounter. I had a Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and Herpes 1 & 2 test. Well, Gonorrhea Negative, Chlamydia Negative, Herpes 1 <8.0 and Herpes 2 >0.9 Well, he told me I was positive for Herpes 1. Meanwhile, I keep checking myself every day. I had diarrhea the first week after that encounter and always after I start thinking and worrying a lot! I have had no fever, my temperature is always 98.6F or below. No fever, night sweats, no rash, no muscle ache (unless I sleep wrong), no joint pain, did have a sore throat but 2 days after the encounter, no sever headaches (I did get a very soft headache yesterday and today) I do have lymph nodes tho. I did have one in my armpit but it went away in 2 days and also the same for groin. They have not come back in the armpit and groin area. I do have a few on the side of my neck and this has me worried sick! They hurt a little but they are not big, there are very small in size. This is making me go crazy even with suicidal thoughts! I can't have a STD test done at my local clinic because they say I have to wait until August! I don't know what to do! Help please! Thank you.
I'm a 28 year old Indian male. I had a high risk exposure on 30th April '16. I had anal sex with another guy in which I bottomed. The other person used condom. But I started having several symptoms of HIV on week later.
I got tested twice. First on 28th of May and then on 24th of June.
Both test results were negative.
(1) Latest result: HIV - DUO by CMIA (IV th Generation test) - NON REACTIVE (0.08)
(2) Older result: ANTI HIV I & II (Serum/CMIA) - NON REACTIVE (0.07)
I still seem to have all the symptoms and test results are negative.
Should I get myself tested once at the 3 month mark and then again at 6 month mark ?
Please advice. Waiting anxiously for the reply.
