I would like to start with the thing that I am on PreP and taking it every day. 3 weeks ago or maybe a bit less I had unprotected sex and starting from Saturday (4th day today) I've been having a severe headache that never had before and some fever not higher though than 37.8C.
I am on painkillers right now and I would say it works quite alright. I tested my blood for HIV by HIV DUO Quick HIV1/HIV2 BIOMERIEUX yesterday and got results to be negative today. I asked the consultant about my situation taking into consideration the fever and severe headache whether it's confirmed that these symptoms were not caused by the conversion just by smth else since I believe that if someone has a conversion going on in their bodies with above-mentioned symptoms it means that a viral load is high and it would be easily detected by the machine. The consultant asked me to contact my doctor since he was not sure about that. I am out of the country now and I've got no possibility to do so. Could you please help me with that?
P.S. I stopped taking PreP on Saturday, the day I felt bad.
I had sex with massage lady, in the beginning I was protected, however for somehow the condom removed and I didn't realized, I have asked if she has HIV and she said she did the test 3 months ago and she is negative, I request if she can come with me next day to do the test and she accept, we went and we didn't the test 4th generation combo and she was negative and so I.. do I still need to be worry and do the test again, please advise
I had exposure (mutual masturbation and titsex) with a sex worker two years ago. No oral, vaginal or anal sex took place. Oil was used on my penis and her breasts for lubricating. Half a year later I received a HIV screening (4th gen) along with my physical, which came back non-reactive. Should I retest due to possibility of false negative?
I did 2 HIV test, 1st test after exposure of 5 months and 2nd after 1 year of 1st test. Both were negative. Are these results conclusive?
Hello Sir, i had a girlfriend, who was HIV positive, and after our break up she told me that she is HIV positive. We had sex alot of times but most of time i used Condoms. But still i tested myself on sep 2016, it was an Antibody and antigen p24 test. The report was nonreactive. Again after 1 year i tested myself cause i was abit confused due to having a wart near my genital ... test was same Antibody and antigen p24 test. Again the report was nonreactive. can i rely on these reports or again i should go for a HIV test?
I'm taking a kind of anti-anxiety medicine which is called Estazolam, will it affect my testing result that is negative after more than three months.
Kudos to your good work.
I had sex with an unknown person on 10 Dec 2015, During sex, condom broke and I might have exposed my penis to a high risk. I have got myself checked four times and the results are as below
CMIA: 9 Jan (after 29 days)- 0.29, Nonreactive
Elisa 3rg gen 12 Feb (after about 60 days) - Negative
CMIA: 24 Feb (after 76 days) - 0.21, Nonreactive
CMIA: 15 Mar (after 95 days) - 0.1, Nonreactive
I have not had any risk exposure (stayed away from sex) since 12 Dec. I understand different forums (CDC etc.) recommend testing at 6 months. Should I still be worried and retest again?

I only have one simple question about this Rapid HIV Test. I went to the Department of Health and Human Services for testing.
My only and first exposure was long time ago in 2013 unprotected with a girl for less then a minute. Since that incident I never had any potential exposure after that. I learned my lesson and i always use condom.
The test Fingerprick blood and my result was negative. I asked them at the health department what is that type of test we used? The Health manager and coordinator at the Department told me me it is called Alere Determine HIV1/2 Ag/Ab Combo.
I just need your opinion about that test I have undergone, I never heard of it? What do you think about it? Good? Accurate? Reliable? If so, is my test result conclusive? Or should I consider taking different test?
On April 19th I had unprotected oral sex with a girl; she sucked me and I sucked her as well. Now I am very concerned about the real risk of got HIV. These were the tests I have done so far, and all of them got negative:
April, 22th - ELISA (negative)
May, 05th - CMIA (negative)
May, 11st - PCR (undetectable)
May, 21st - ELISA (negative)
Jun, 09th - ELISA (negative)
Jun, 15th - CMIA (negative)
Jun, 17th - NAT (negative)
Jul, 01st - NAT / Elisa (negative)
Jul, 27th - ELISA (negative)
Please, help me. Are these results conclusive or should I keep testing at least until six months? Thank you!
