Hello!I did hiv test after 60 days of exposure to low risk , on the result gave to me is Non reactive for kit 1 and kit 2 And kit used was determine, I just want to know accuracy of this kit,and if the test is conclusive .And also what generation is this test kit.

Answer:

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about the conclusiveness of your test results. From the information gathered, I am not sure what type of HIV test you used.

The average window period for rapid test is about 22 days (can be up to 3 months) and the average window period for 4th generation tests is about 18 days (can be up to 1.5 months). When tested outside of the window period, the chances of a negative result being false is low [1].

Hopefully this helps.
