Question:

Hiii

I unfortunately had protected sex with a unknown partner on 12th March 2016 but the act my condom did slip with i had removed my penis, i dint even cum during the act. Due to some symptoms i similar to early HIV i opted to get myself test on Aug 10 , 2016 in India with fully automated cmia method for HIV 1 & HIV 2. The Result was 0.04 (Non Reactive). Are the test conclusive and can i consider myself HIV Negative Completely or I Should get tested again next month.

Answer:

Hi there and thank you for reaching out to AIDS Vancouver with your questions! We're happy to help.

Your results are entirely conclusive! HIV tests are all considered conclusive at 3 months post exposure. Your test took place 5 months after the fact, and is thus conclusive. For more information about testing, please visit avert.org.

I hope this helped!

Sincerely,

Christina
