Question:

About the REUSING CONDOM post, i didn't reuse it literally, after i penetrating anally an HIV person, i grabbed the condom alongside my penis and masturbate, i didn't think there was a risk, later i realize the condom had rectal fluids. and my penis was cover all over it, that was my concern, if that contact was dangerous or not?

Question:
My penis became in full contact during masturbation with the external side of an anally used condom of an HIV+ person, After the anal coitus, the condom was exposed briefly to the air (less than 10 seconds), before i started to masturbate with it, i kept masturbating and came with the condom around my penis (uncircumsided), without thinking in the risk. can you tell me how real of a risk it was?

Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about the risk of contracting HIV from a used condom, assuming the condom was used by someone who is HIV positive. Condoms are not intended for reuse, and will not be as effective in preventing HIV transmission when used incorrectly. [1]

Recommendation: Refer to your physician for follow-up

Answer:

Hi there,

Thank you for clarifying.

From our understanding, the contact you had with the outside of a used condom (with rectal fluid) is your concern. With the information given, we determine this practice to be a negligible risk (There are no evidence or no documented cases of transmission). Contact with feces or urine (on broken skin, or the urethra opening) does in fact present a potential for HIV transmission because it does involve the exchange of bodily fluids. However, there has never been a confirmed report of transmission with this activity.
