oral sex and gum bleeding

Question:

one hour before oral sex i had brushed my teeth and i had realized that there was a blood dripping from my gum however i had rinse it with an antiseptic mouthwash. An hour later, i had given a negative HIV man an oral sex. Four weeks later, i had developed a cold symptoms with muscle ache, sore throat and feeling abit tired. Despite of that, i had a great appetite for food and i still have an energy to go to the gym. Do you think i might have a great chances of getting an HIV infection

Answer:

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about acquiring HIV through preforming oral sex. From the information given, this scenario is determined to be Low Risk (Evidence of transmission occurs through these activities when certain conditions are met) (1). The scenario mentioned above does meet the three components of the transmission equation. It does satisfy the equation because there was bodily fluid present, a low risk activity of oral sex, and direct access to enter the blood steam through the bleeding gums (1).

Recommendation: Refer to Physician for HIV test.
