Very worried

Dear Team

Hello. I am a man aged 27. I had a french kissing incident with a certain lady whom I did not know very well in November last year. I did not taste any blood at all. I later learnt that she was hospitalized for some ailment. Immediately I began to fear for HIV. Suppose she is HIV+ (I dont know if she is) and she has gingivitis or ulcers in the mouth..could HIV have been spread to me during the kissing? Would a microscopic amount of blood in her saliva be a high risk for me?

Thank you for your advise.

HIV transmission.

If someone share HIV patient coffee cup and if there is any blood through his chapped lip stick on cup surface and the other person swallowed while having coffee from his cup then is there possibilities of HIV transmission.

A worried physically disabled guy

The main reason I ask this question is that I am with physical disabilty and in the country I reside there is no PEP or PrEP, and also to go for a HIV test I have to travel 200 km ,which is not possible for me. Also in Europe the treatment policy is to wait the virs to progress and then go on therapy it is not like North America

The situation is - I had a guest a month ago and she had reddish chapped lips and some sort of redish gims at the same time I had a small cut ON my lip. I have not seen her for a long time and I am not sure of her health status . We did not do anything just talked very close to one another.

Is it possible for blood of her lips and gums while talking to get into my cut. Is there any danged for me to contract something . I know saliva is HIV supressor but in what degree.

So my question is....do you advise me to start organising my jorney for hiv testing or the risk is rather low and it is not needed

Thanks in advance for the answer

Dirty bathroom water / bandage exposure

Hi AIDS Vancouver,

I have a question about a couple of potential exposures that I had recently that I was wondering whether or not I should be concerned about.

The first exposure involves dirty bathroom water - If dirty water from a bathroom floor (generic brown dirty) splashes onto my genital area, is there risk of transmission of HIV? There would have only been a few drop's worth that splashed onto the naked genital area, but it's worth noting that I had both irritation and acne around my anus and penis. What's the degree of risk associated with this kind of exposure?

The second exposure involves a person with a fairly fresh bandage on their finger hugging / patting me while I'm holding a shirt I was about to put on. If this individual's bandage came into contact with the inside of my shirt, which I then put on almost immediately afterwards, is there any risk of transmission? I don't recall seeing visible blood, but if the part of my shirt that he touched rubbed across my face, is there risk of transmission?

Thank you for any help and information you can provide.

Necktie and hiv

Can I get hiv from neckties I'm asking this because I was sharing a tie and it touched my private part am I at risk of hiv or hepatitis

risk of transmission?

I just got tested for HIV in a HIV specific lab. now im worry if there is a risk of transmission since only HIV+ people get tested there. should I start PEP?
she used new syringe and latex cloves, but she touched and tied the armband (while latex was worn) before wiping my skin with a piece of cotton and alcohol (possibly)
thank you

Do I need a further Test?

I had a encounter of mutual masturbation, where I fingered the lady and then masturbated self with Vaginal Fluid on my fingers and that fluid may have came in contact with my Penis.

I had SERUM HIV(I & II)AG/AB( Combo) Test with Method : Chemiluminescent Immunoassay on day 15th and Day 29th and both the results are as under:

15th Day: 0.24 S/Co : Non Reactive
29th Day: 0.11 S/Co : Non Reactive

1. Can I Conclude that I am not infected on the basis of the Test results?
2. Is the above mentioned test 4th generation?
3. If I need to take the same test for a conclusive result, when should I take it again?

Thanks in advance for your knowledge sharing and support.

Blood in my fried chicken. Help me please

Please help me with my concerns.

Im so stress because yesterday me and my wife bought a fried chicken, when we are already eating the chicken i notice some small blood in my chicken (neck part). I remember about deseases or viruses that human can get in bloods, like HIV. Im scared if i can get HIV from the blood of a chicken. What if the chicken is infected with hiv i know this sounds "funny" because i have some cuts in my lips due to cold weather. But as i remember when we buy the friend chicken it is deep fried in the pan, i saw it.. So please heres my questions.

My questions our:
*can chicken transmit hiv? Or be a carrier?
*do hiv survive in cooking like deep frie food?
*why does chicken can or cannot be infected by hiv? Is there any study about why chicken cannot carry this virus? Even if someone
intentionaly inject hiv blood in chicken?
*do i need test?

Note: sorry for my poor english, i hope you understand my situation. Thank you so much. I hope you can help my with my questions.
