Hello,

I asked a question titled "31 Day Hiv Duo Negative But Ongoing Symptoms" which was answered, so thanks.
But my risk has been assessed as "negligible" although I disagree. Details of my risk and why I think I was exposed to very high risk remains in the original thread so I won't paste here.

I want to give an update that, I had the same test at 60th day which came out negative, too. This is encouraging for the 90th day, but my fatigue, swollen lymph nodes and occasional diarrhea persists. I'm lost. Afraid to turn positive later.

I tested negative with the same test at 60 days also. But the fatigue and sore throat remains. I'm afraid to turn positive at 90.

Hello, and thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline. I will be more than glad to help.

The duo test is considered "conclusive" after 6 weeks (42 days) by many HIV experts. Therefore, your status is negative, and your symptoms are likely due to another cause. If you'd like to be tested again at 90 days, it would be extremely unlikely that your status will change to positive (no documented cases of this happening for the duo test).

Sincerely,

Ali
