Hi there, thanks for contacting the AIDS Vancouver helpline with your great question!
I understand you're wondering if you can be certain about the accuracy of your results, I hope this information will help.

It looks like you've had several tests done. In Canada, all HIV tests are considered 95% accurate after 4-6 weeks, and conclusive after 3 months.
The only exceptions to this are under these conditions:

1) Antiviral treatment for hepatitis C

2) Treatment for cancer (Chemotherapy)

3) PEP Treatment for HIV

4) Other immunodeficiency diseases (you would know if you had this as they are diagnosed at infancy)

Assuming none of those are the case, your fourth test is considered conclusive, as it's a 4th generation test which is very accurate.

For more information about HIV and testing, visit our website at [aidsvancouver.org](aidsvancouver.org)

I noticed you used the word clean to describe your partner in the question. Here at AIDS Vancouver we prefer to use the term HIV Negative, as using the word clean implies that those who are HIV Positive are dirty.

We hope we were able to answer your question!

Sincerely,

Christina
