Hi there and thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline forum.

It sounds like you're concerned about the accuracy of your HIV test results.

HIV tests are considered to be conclusive when taken 12 weeks (or 3 months) following exposure. So the tests you took at 15 and 19 weeks can both be considered to be conclusive. There is no need for further testing unless there has been another exposure.

The accuracy of the 4th generation tests are 99.9%.

The results of your tests can be considered to be conclusive at 3 months, but if your local healthcare providers recommend retesting at 6 months it is a good idea to follow their instructions.

For more information about HIV testing you can always check out the AIDS Vancouver website.
