I had a lap dance in a cabaret and I ejaculated inside my underwear with my jeans pant on, after this the dancer was sitting on my lap with a g string and I observed wet vaginal fluid on my jeans and I touched that on my jeans, as I was uncomfortable with my penis I touched my penis with sperm at tip with same hand. Is there a possibility of HIV being transmitted during this incident if the vaginal fluid on my hand mixed with my sperm at penis tip? Thank you.

Hi there, thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline for HIV and AIDS related information.

The quick answer to your question is no, you are not at risk for HIV whatsoever!! The reason for this is that there is no possible way that the HIV virus could enter your blood stream. The virus requires direct access to the blood stream, which it does not in your case. Also, the HIV virus is a very weak virus and dies immediately upon being exposed to the air. In your case, if there was any HIV virus it would have been exposed to the air and would have died and would be unable to infect.

I hope that answers your question. Keep in mind that the HIV virus is actually very hard to transmit. If you have any further questions regarding HIV transmission please feel free to contact us again, or you can also find lots of useful information regarding transmission at [http://www.avert.org/can-you-get-hiv.htm](http://www.avert.org/can-you-get-hiv.htm)
