2 HIV I&II antibody + HIV1 p24 Ag - negative result 10-Nov-2013 (87 days)
Syphilis (ELISA method)

3 HIV I&II antibody + HIV1 p24 Ag - negative result 2-Feb-2013 (171 days)
Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C (HCV), Syphilis (PRP), Herpes (HSV2IgG),
Chlamydia, Gonorrhea. (ELISA method)

4 HIV I&II antibody + HIV1 p24 Ag - negative result 11-AUG-2013 (361 days)
(ECLIA Method)

5 HIV I&II antibody + HIV1 p24 Ag - negative result 26-Oct-2013 (437 days)
Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C (HCV), Syphilis (PRP), ((CMIA method)
Herpes (HSV2IgG), Chlamydia antigen, Gonorrhea stain.

I should still continue my tests. are my results conclusive? any case can take more than one year to detect antibodies? I used to drink lemon juice (weekly 12 Nos.), this can affect my test results or any other chances to delay to show antibody. I am worrying Please advise me. I would be thank full to you.

Regards,
Vijay

Hello Vijay,
Thank you for using the AIDS Vancouver Helpline as your source of HIV-related information.

First and foremost, HIV does not discriminate based on characteristics of an individual (age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, occupation or any other socio-economic status). Rather, it is the activity one engages in (unprotected anal/vaginal sex or sharing needles) that poses a high risk for HIV acquisition.

Secondly, all HIV tests done by a healthcare provider are conclusive at/after 12 weeks post possible exposure. Thus, your tests are in fact conclusive and no further test is necessary.

Drinking lemon juice, taking medications/supplements/herbal supplements have no effect on a test or your body response to the virus.

Hopefully you find the information helpful.
Let us know if you have any other questions/concerns.

Stay healthy and keep smiling,
Yoshiko
