hello.
I'm Portuguese and I'm very scared about a sexual relation with a unknown man.
Last Saturday i'm involving with a man and he make me a blow job, but he never had directly contact with my penis because i never took off my pants and underwear.
I'm afraid that small fluids have been in contact with the head of my penis and may be risk of contracting HIV.
I did not see blood in my underwear but the head of my penis had irritations caused by friction of the mouth!!!!
What are the real risks to this situation? I need to do a HIV test or not?
Please answer my questions, I'm very anxious and scared!!!!!!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting AIDS Vancouver. I am sorry to hear that you have been very scared about your encounter, I will go over your risk of transmission which will hopefully make you feel better.

For HIV transmission to occur, bodily fluid from the person with HIV must be able to gain direct access to your bloodstream. In the activity you have described, there is no access to your bloodstream. You do not need to have an HIV test based on this encounter, although AIDS Vancouver recommends regular HIV testing for everyone who is sexually active.

I hope this no risk assessment will help to put your mind at ease.

Best regards,

Alex
