Hi there, and thank you for using the AIDS Vancouver Helpline,

It sounds like you are distressed about your test results. You have taken a great initiative for your health by getting tested.

Here in Canada, according to the World Health Organization, we consider Rapid Test to be conclusive at 3 months.
HIV tests for antibodies look for specific antibodies. And thyroid causes delay in other specific antibodies.
We suggest you partner up with your doctor to talk about your HIV tests. And if you have any other questions feel free to visit out website.

We hope that this information was helpful to you, and if you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact our helpline.

We are open from 9am-4pm (PST)

Monday to Friday.

604-253-0566 ext.299

Your call is always private and confidential

Sincerely,

Jasmine (volunteer) AIDS Vancouver
