I was asking about the possibilty of HIV transmission through direct contact of my burned lips and burned fingers
with fresh blood of my friend on the edge of hot electroic cigarette during usage
(My lips and fingers were burned as a result of contact with hot E-Cigarette during usage,
while they were directly contacting fresh blood of my friend on the hot edge of the E-cigarette while smoking).
Me and my friend shared the E-cigarette and my friend had dryed and cracked
lips which were slightly bleeding on the edge of the E-Cigarette while smoking it together.

I hereby attach below the link for the previous answered question :

In your answer you wrote that even if my burned lips and burned fingers did come in contact with HIV positive blood
on the edge of E-Cigarette, because of blood exposure to oxygen, and the fact
that there was no direct access to my bloodstream meaning there is no HIV risk.

Just to get better understanding, the reason that my burned lips and burned fingers still had no access to my blood stream
is because they were not acively bleeding in the need of stitches or surgery(As you have previously mentioned in your website).

The only way for burned lips and burned fingers to allow access to bloodstream when coming direct contact
with HIV infected blood, is only if they are actively bleeding and open, which was not the case in my scenario.

I would appreciate if you can confirm that what I wrote is correct regarding
negative access to blood stream by burned lips and burned fingers which are not actively bleeding.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

John

Hi there!

Yes, it would be negative access to the blood stream, and therefore No Risk of HIV transmission.
