i did sex with cheap female sex worker, i used condom (which she gave me), we did open mouth kissing. and condom protected sex.
My questions
1) cracks on lips is ok, or shall i need to worry coz i have no idea of her mouth status, assuming her lips didnt have cracks.
2) she gave me condom, is it ok to use low quality condom, as i dont know the quality of condom, i heard low quality condom let hiv virus pass through.

Hello and thanks for reaching out to the AIDS Vancouver Helpline.

It seems you are concerned about possible HIV infection after engaging in protected sex activity. We are glad to provide some information.

Engaging in protected sex is regarded as a Low Risk activity. This means that there are a few confirmed cases of HIV infection from this activity. We recommend that you consider getting tested as testing is the only way you can determine your HIV status.

Kissing has no risk because when HIV is mixed with saliva it does not transmit. We do not know of any condoms that let HIV through as condoms are made for protection. We are not in a position to comment on any specific brand of condoms. Since she opened it in front of you we would consider it as adequate protection.

The Aids Vancouver Helpline Online forum has postings that are related to your question that you can read for additional information. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us again.

Thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline.
