I am not sure if it Geographical tongue or not but I see small dark red spots on the sides of my tongue. It is not bleeding ,  I pressed it hard as much I can, still it didn't bleed. If I kiss some one or by mistake if sip a drop of blood  will it leads to HIV?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about the possibility of HIV transmission due to the presence of small dark red spots on the sides of your tongue that are not bleeding, despite applying significant pressure to it. From the information given, this scenario is determined to be No Risk (transmission of HIV is not possible in the given scenario).

The scenario mentioned above does not meet the three components of the transmission equation (see below). HIV transmission requires the transfer of a HIV positive fluid (such as blood), coupled with a High, Low, or Negligible Risk activity that provides the HIV virus with direct access to the bloodstream (such as open cuts and bleeding sores).
Transmission Equation.jpg
In the situation that you posed, the reason why there is no risk of HIV transmission is because there is no path that provides the HIV virus with direct access to the bloodstream. From the information given, the small dark red spots on the sides of your tongue are not bleeding at all, despite the fact that you pressed on it with immense pressure. Therefore, even if you engaged in deep, open mouth kissing with another individual (and the person had sores/bleeding gums and is HIV positive) and the individual's blood entered your mouth, there would be no risk of HIV transmission if you personally do not have bleeding gums/sores. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend you to seek out a healthcare professional to obtain a diagnosis as to what is on your tongue.

Recommendation: No need for HIV test with the scenario provided. Please refer to a healthcare professional for other health-related questions.
