delay of seroconversion by immune defficiency

Hi there and thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Online Helpline.

I`m not quite sure what is being asked here.

Seroconversion is not delayed by the presence of an immunodeficiency disease. However, presence of an immunodeficiency disease may affect the HIV testing window period. If you have been diagnosed with an immunodeficiency disease (which likely would have been diagnosed at a young age) I would recommend consulting with a healthcare practitioner about HIV testing options.

I hope this information helps to answer your questions.

For more information you can always visit the AIDS Vancouver website or check out CATIE.org.
