Last Year i recieve a blow job from a man that i don't know his HIV Status before i recieve a blowjob i shave my genitals (stem of the penis) then i ejaculate in his mouth , then after a month i play with my cousin we recieve and give oral sex to each other then we rub our penis in each other anus but theres is no insertion and ejaculation even in oral sex we do. I know my cousin is a virgin this is the first time he do it, so he is not HIV+,

After 24 weeks/168 days of exposure from recieving blowjob to that unknown man i got test using rapid test (SD BIOLINE HIV 1/2 3.0) and the result negative.

1.Is that 24weeks is conclusive result?
Does i need to re tested again?

2.Does my cousin is safe from acquiring the virus?

I dont want to tell him because i dont want to get stress and have depression like me.

Hello, and thank you for contacting Aids Vancouver Helpline. I'm sorry to hear you've been worried about this issue, and I hope my answer can alleviate your stress and help you move on.

To answer your first question, your test at 24 weeks is conclusive and you do not need any further testing. An HIV test is conclusive after 12 weeks. The 12 weeks is already quite conservative standards, as the majority of HIV infections show up as early as 4-6 weeks. Also, receiving a blowjob is considered a Negligible risk for HIV transmission, meaning that although some bodily fluid exchange may occur, there has never been any cases reported of anyone acquiring HIV by receiving a blowjob.

Since your HIV status is negative, your cousin is safe, and there is no chance that he could have acquired HIV from the experience you described.

I hope that answered your questions. Feel free to contact us again for more information.
