Hello I hope you can answer my question.

Hiv Elisa test 9 months after possible exposure. Testing done 2 months after completing chemotherapy treatment. Exposure happened soon after beginning chemo. Are my results conclusive?

Hello and thank you for using AIDS Vancouver as your primary source of information about HIV/AIDS issues.

Since the Elisa test was administered to you 9 months post-exposure and your chemotherapy treatment was completed 2 months prior to your HIV test, the results of this test would be conclusive.

I trust I have answered your question sufficiently. Should you have any further inquiries, please contact us again or visit our website http://www.aidsvancouver.org for more information.
You may also wish to check http://www.catie.ca for further information.

Sincerely,

Marta
