A very worried soul here, I had an encounter with a CSW , I don't know her status, the activities I have engaged are licking and sucking her torso and breasts and she performed oral sex after I had put on a condom, she had also licked my uncovered areas like inner thighs. I have felt a host of symptoms following this episode and tested twice one at the 14 week mark and another at the 24 week mark from two different, but very reliable multi speciality hospitals. Both the tests were 4th generation eclia tests and both were non reactive. I do not have any pre existing immuno deficiencies, I do not have hepatitis b or c. However I do have thyroid and vitamin d problems. With the information I have provided kindly confirm if these tests are fully conclusive.

Hello and thanks for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline. You can trust the test results that you have received. Testing at 12 weeks post exposure is reliable and your tests were well past that time frame. The test that were used are the standard tests used worldwide in HIV testing.

Because you had a negative test result, the symptoms you described cannot be linked to HIV. In light of your other health issues, I would encourage you to discuss your symptoms and concerns with your doctor to help you address your health needs.

If you have HIV related questions in the future, please do not hesitate to contact the Helpline again.

All the best,

Marnelle
