Hello! My contact was limited to touching the tip of the tongue quickly only twice on the outside of the vagina. Thus, I believe that there was no contact with vaginal fluids, as she was not excited. However, I am very concerned about this exposure.I've done 5 HIV tests, the last 8 months after exposure, but I can't calm down.Help, you need help.

Hi there,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about HIV transmission from contacting the outside of a vagina briefly with your tongue.

From the information given, this scenario is determined to be of No Risk (Transmission of HIV is not possible in the given scenario)

Transmission is considered to be of No Risk for the following reasons:

Generally, performing oral sex without a barrier is considered a Low Risk activity for transmission. However, from what you describe, touching the vagina briefly with your tongue twice with no presence of vaginal fluids would be considered No RiskDirect access to the bloodstream and presence of body fluids are components of our HIV Transmission Equation which are not met. Although there was an activity, given the circumstances you described combined with the rest of the Transmission Equation not being fulfilled makes this activity No Risk for HIV Transmission. In addition, the frequency of tests done in the past 8 months following exposure show that you do not have HIV, given those tests resulted in a negative result and there were no additional scenarios in which HIV Transmission could occur.

Please refer to our HIV Transmission Equation below for more information:

Recommendation: No need for HIV test with the scenario provided, refer to a healthcare professional for other health related questions.
