Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you are asking about the potential for HIV acquisition through kissing. Kissing is considered to be a no risk activity (transmission of HIV is not possible in the given scenario), when there is no blood present. Kissing does not satisfy the transmission equation, in that saliva is not an HIV transmitting bodily fluid, and there is no direct access to the bloodstream through the mouth.

If there are open cuts or sores in the mouth and blood is taken into the mouth, there is a low risk (evidence of transmission occurs through these activities when certain conditions are met), and we would recommend seeing a physician about getting tested for HIV.
