NeedHelp1234
Hi I just had a question regarding my risk. I (male) had an encounter with guy about 2-3 years ago. There was no anal penetration and no blowjob. Only a little bit of mutual masturbation. And he also put his finger which probably had pre-cum on them in my mouth. I can't remember if I had any cuts or sores in my mouth. But I probably didn't. He ejaculated on my back, I wiped my back almost immediately after. I'm pretty sure my back had intact skin, no open wounds, cuts or anything like that.

A key note about me is that I'm immunosuppressed due to my medications. His HIV status is unknown.

If anyone could answer my question I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi there,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about the possibility of HIV transmission through mutual masturbation and pre-cum coming into contact with your mouth. From the information given, this scenario is determined to be No Risk (transmission of HIV is not possible in the given scenario).

The scenario mentioned above does not meet the three components of the HIV Transmission Equation (see down below).
Helpline Transmission Equation .jpg

In order for HIV transmission to occur in this circumstance, a number of requirements must be fulfilled. HIV transmission occurs when the following conditions are met: There must be the presence of HIV positive fluid (semen, pre-cum, vaginal fluid, rectal fluid, blood, or breastmilk), coupled with direct access to the bloodstream. This scenario is considered to be No Risk.  You indicated that pre-cum came into contact with your mouth and also that the individual ejaculated on your back.  Factors in the transmission equation: such as the presence of HIV positive fluid is unknown. However, direct access to the bloodstream  did not occur. In addition, you did not engage in an activity that could possibly facilitate HIV transmission.

Recommendation: No need for an HIV test with the scenario provided, please refer to a healthcare professional for other health related questions.
