I tested for hiv twice. Once at 15 days via rapid Clearview hiv 1/2 test and at 22 days. Both results negative. I am usually very healthy and never sick. I took an rna and 4th Gen test but the anxiety of waiting 3-5 days is killing me. What are my chances I am negative? Please help.

Hi There,

Thank you for contacting AIDS Vancouver with your question about HIV testing.

It sounds like you are experiencing some worry about HIV and the testing process. I understand that waiting can be difficult and I would encourage you to speak to your health care practitioner about these feelings of worry that you are having.

Although I cannot tell you what the chances are that you are negative, I can tell you that the negative results that you have gotten from the two tests you have already taken are a very strong indication of your status. I would also encourage you to be tested again at three months to confirm your negative results. At AIDS Vancouver we comply with the World Health Organization guidelines that find all HIV test results conclusive at 3 months (12 weeks, 84 days).

If you have more questions about HIV and testing processes I have included a link that explains about different types of testing [Testing Link](http://www.aidsmap.com/HIV-testing/page/1254899/). You can also contact us again or refer to our website at http://www.aidsvancouver.org.

Sincerely,

Christina
