Hello and thank you for reaching out to the AIDS Vancouver Helpline!

It sounds like you are concerned about HIV testing.

Firstly, it is great that you went and pursued HIV testing! Here at AIDS Vancouver, we recommend routine testing as it is a great way to stay up-to-date on your current HIV status.

When it comes to HIV testing, it has been stated that all HIV tests at 12 weeks post-exposure will generate completely conclusive results. While your results at 11 weeks will showcase a fairly reliable answer, it is best to retest at 12 weeks post-exposure to guarantee that your results are conclusive.

For more information on HIV testing, you can visit [AVERT HIV Testing](http://www.avert.org/hiv-testing).

Regards,

Chris, Helpline Volunteer
