Hi,
I had shaved hairs on my genitals in the morning and had few cuts. Two cuts were painful. After 3 hrs I had a guy come and give me hand job. If he had anything on his hand (like blood or pre-cum), am I at risk of hiv or any sti's? The cut was little deep and red. Please response back urgently as I have been trying to call you but no response. thanks

Is this scenario any cause of concern for Hiv?
Also, if I cleaned someone's anus and put my finger in without washing
my hands that had cum on it for 30 mins or so..meaning my hands
were sticky but dry since I touched my own cum 30 mins ago..can the
other person whose rectum or anus I washed with
water and inserted my finger can get anything

Thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline Forum.

I apologize that we were unable to connect on the helpline phone. I have linked our hours of operation at the bottom of this post in case you would still like to talk.

I understand that you are experiencing stress and wondering about your potential for transmission of HIV. To our knowledge, superficial cuts like those typically caused by a razor during shaving and contact with bodily fluid during a handjob would carry no risk for the transmission of HIV. You seemed concerned that the hand may have had pre-cum or blood on it. When HIV is exposed to air like on someone's hand it is unable to survive. Therefore, body fluids that may be on your hands would not be able to transmit HIV to that person, whose anus you were washing, either.

As for other STI risk which you were asking about- we post about HIV but would recommend you follow up with your healthcare provider for more information. You can also gather some great information from this link: [Smart Sex Resource](smartsexresource.com).
