I have been diagnosed HIV positive this week. My mind is blowing, I don't know what to do and where to go. I live in Vancouver and all my family is back in Europe. Is there a support group for heterosexual HIV positive people?
When and where does it take place? Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about support services available in Vancouver for those newly diagnosed with HIV.

As someone newly diagnosed with HIV it is important to know that you are still able to live a healthy and fulfilling life. Peer navigators for those who are newly diagnosed are available through Positive Living BC Peer Navigator Services. Please [click here](https://positivelivingbc.org/services/newly-diagnosed/) for more information on how to connect with this resource and find an appropriate group for support.

In addition to this resource, there are many more available to support people living with HIV (1).

Regards,

AIDS Vancouver Helpline/Online, Marie
