Hello!
I have come questions: I had a visit at a sex worker in Germany(in a licensed place) and at the end the girl masturbated me without condom but using lubricant.
I took a test of screening at 5 weeks and 1 day and result was negative for hiv 1 and 2, syphilis, hep b and hep C
I took the second test at 6 weeks and 2 days at other lab using CMIA Architect Abbot negative for hiv 1 and 2 and syphilis (i did only hiv and syphilis test)
I took the third test at 8 weeks and 2 days at third lab using ECLIA and got negative for hiv 1 and 2 , syphilis, hep b and hep c.
I don't have any symptoms or marks on my body. I only have bad sleep and low apetit of food due to my fear of STD. I don't know if i have been exposed to something nor if the girls had something.
Is it ok to relax after this tests?
Best regards from Europe,
Everithing else was done with one condom for normal sex and one for oral sex.

Hi there and thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline forum.

It sounds like you're concerned about the accuracy of your test results after a sexual experience.

First off, it might help with your worries to know that hand contact with genitals (handjobs, fingering) is considered to have a negligible risk of HIV, this means that there have been no reported cases of HIV being acquired through this activity. Sex with a condom is considered to be a low risk activity. So the good news is that your risk of acquiring HIV from your encounter in Germany is low.

Although most HIV tests are considered to be conclusive after 4 weeks to 3 months have passed. The test is most likely to be conclusive if 3 months (or 12 weeks) have passed, so since it has only been 8.5 weeks it might be a good idea to get another test in about a month just to be sure and to put your mind at rest.

Good for you for being responsible with your health and getting tested, way to go!

For more information about HIV and HIV testing you can always visit the AIDS Vancouver website.

I hope this information helps to answer your questions and alleviate your worries.
