Hi there and thanks for using the AIDS Vancouver Online Helpline as a source for HIV/AIDS related information.
First of all, there are no clinically-defined HIV symptoms.  Some infected individuals experience a strong, flu-like illness 2-6 weeks post-exposure, which usually disappears within 8-10 days. However, many infected individuals experience no symptoms, whatsoever.  The symptoms you describe are not HIV related.  However, if they persist I would encourage you to discuss them with your Health Care Professional.
As far as your HIV testing is concerned, the Rapid Test at 3 months post-exposure is conclusive as well as the EIA Test at 5.5 months post-exposure. You do not have HIV as both these tests and their method of testing are completely reliable.
I trust I have addressed your concerns however, should further information be required, please feel free to contact us again.
