HI , i am from india. my cmia index came to be 2.18(weakly reactive). but western blot and quantitative RNA are both negatives. test is done 3 omnths after exposure. Please advise.

It sounds like you are concerned about the reliability of your test results.


You say you had 1 test that came back slightly reactive. Then, you had 2 mores tests after the 3 month mark which both came back negative.


You say that you had a Western Blot Test 3 months post exposure. The Western Blot is standard test protocol as a confirmatory test. It is considered to be the "gold standard" for confirmation of HIV infection. The accuracy is 99.9% after 4-6 weeks.


HIV test results are considered conclusive 3 months post exposure. You can trust the test negative results that were given to 3 months post exposure. These results are considered conclusive.
