Hi, I met a guy whom I never met before. We drove away in my car and I gave him a blowjob. He's a student and of course gay. I am sure he is not a street prostitute but must have multiple partners in the past.
I took his discharge in my mouth and spit it out immediately.
And also rinsed my mouth then & there. Is there any chance of me getting any STD or HIV
Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about the risk of acquiring HIV from giving/performing oral sex without a barrier. From the information given, this scenario is determined to be Low Risk (Evidence of transmission occurs through these activities when certain conditions are met for example: performing oral sex without a barrier)

The chance an HIV-negative person will get HIV from oral sex with an HIV-positive partner is extremely low. The type of oral sex that may be the riskiest is mouth-to-penis oral sex. Though the risk of HIV transmission through oral sex is low, several factors may increase that risk, including sores in the mouth or vagina or on the penis, bleeding gums, oral contact with menstrual blood, and the presence of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

Individuals can further reduce the already Low Risk of HIV transmission from oral sex by keeping their male partners from ejaculating in their mouth. This could be done by removing the mouth from the penis before ejaculation, or by using a condom.
Using a barrier like a condom during oral sex can further reduce the risk of transmitting HIV, other STDs. The risk of HIV transmission through oral sex is even lower if the HIV-negative partner is taking medicine to prevent HIV (pre-exposure prophylaxis or PrEP) or the HIV-positive partner is taking medicine to treat HIV (antiretroviral therapy or ART) and is virally suppressed.

Recommendation: Refer to a health care provider for HIV testing.
