I touched a girl's breast and nipple(less than 15 seconds) in a bar in Thailand and she gave me a peck kiss(dry kiss) on my lips(no exchange of saliva). Can I get HIV from this? I am really worried...

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about the possibility of contracting HIV from touching the breast of someone who is infected, or from kissing someone who is infected.

From the information given, this scenario is determined to be no risk (transmission of HIV is not possible in the given scenario). The scenario mentioned above does not meet the three components of the transmission equation.
1. There was no exchange of bodily fluids
2. The activities mentioned (touching, kissing) are not high risk activities
3. There was no direct access to the bloodstream

Recommendation: No need for HIV test with the scenario provided, refer to a physician for other health related questions

Regards,
AIDS Vancouver Helpline/Online,
Dyson
