Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about the risk of acquiring HIV from vaginal fluids coming into contact with with a small wound on your scrotum during vaginal sex where a condom was used for protection.

In general, protected vaginal sex with the use of a condom is considered to be a low risk for HIV transmission (Evidence of transmission occurs through these activities when certain conditions are met).

Consider the following from the Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange
"Condoms are impermeable to HIV, but can fail to prevent exposure to HIV if they break, slip or leak during use. A break, slip or leak during condom use is known as condom failure and can happen even when used correctly. These factors can reduce the ability of condoms to prevent HIV transmission."

In regards to your specific concern of vaginal fluids coming into contact with a wound on your scrotum, this scenario is determined to be a negligible risk for HIV transmission. A negligible risk level indicates that the situation presents a potential for HIV transmission due to the exchange of body fluids, but that there has never been a confirmed report of such a transmission. In this instance, exposure to oxygen outside of the body may render HIV inactive. HIV does not survive long outside the human body (such as on surfaces), and it cannot reproduce outside a human host.

Acquiring HIV from the encounter you described is determined to be possible but highly unlikely.
Recommendation: Refer to your doctor for HIV testing.
