Is there anything you can suggest me to do to stop thinking I have hiv so I can stop stressing. I had a 3 month negative but I've convinced myself I have hiv because of all of these symptoms. My mind and body can't take this anymore, I feel like giving up on everything. Nothing is helping me at all. From doctors to physiatrist to psychologist… nothing is helping!!! there is nothing else that I can think of that is causing these symptoms except hiv or aids but I've had two negative test @ 44 days and 86 days after having sex. I just don't know what to do anymore, my life is not the same and I don't want to live in constant pain like this

Hello and thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline.

We wish we could offer you additional support for your distress, as it seems you have exhausted several options already. We can reassure you that the results of an HIV test at 86 days post-exposure can be considered conclusive by the BC CDC, and, this seems to indicate that the symptoms you are experiencing are not related to HIV. We encourage you to continue reaching out to the healthcare professionals in your community, as they are able to offer you the most reliable supports.

If you are a resident of British Columbia and are interested in learning more about how to decrease your risk and vulnerability to acquiring HIV, we may suggest calling the AIDS Vancouver Helpline to complete a referral to the Health Promotion Case Management Program. The Health Promotion Case Management Program supports individuals, who have not acquired HIV, in maintaining their sexual health status and learning more about individual risk.

Alternatively, the following link can be used to contact the [BC Crisis Prevention and Intervention Centre](http://crisiscentre.bc.ca/get-help/) 24/7; they provide immediate support to individuals in distress.

Sincerely,

Marta
