Hi, I am sorry for asking you guys this stupid question, but I am really worried.
One night I had got deep long french kissing (dunno if one or both of us had there some blood but it is possible) and I also was a bit sick, like having a cold and starting flu.
I know, that there is no risk of getting HIV from kissing because in saliva are some enzymes, but when I was ill, isn't it then possible this way?
Thank you for your answer.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. From what we gather from the question, you were asking about your risk of HIV transmission from french kissing.

Kissing (with no blood present) is considered a no risk activity (transmission of HIV is not possible in the given scenario). HIV cannot be transmitted through saliva and is not transmitted through social contact such as kissing, hugging and shaking hands (1).
Although you may be feeling ill, your activity is still considered to be no risk.

There is no need for an HIV test with the scenario provided, please refer to a physician for other health related questions.

Best,
AIDS Vancouver Helpline/Online, Cody
