Hi there and thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline forum.

It sounds like you're concerned about your HIV test results. The HIV testing procedure can definitely be a stressful time and, it is completely normal to be worried.

The results of your test were mixed, meaning the test did not get conclusive results. This means you will have to get another test done and hopefully this test will be conclusive. The good news is that an inconclusive result is not a positive result, this means that your next test may be negative.

I understand that this is a stressful time and you want to know your status as soon as possible. I would recommend discussing your concerns with your doctor and partnering with them to find out the best way to achieve conclusive results.

If you have anymore questions or concerns feel free to call the AIDS Vancouver helpline or for more general information about HIV you can always check out the AIDS Vancouver website.

I hope this information helps to answer your question and that your worries are over soon!
