Hello,

I posted my question earlier but didn't get answer could you please go through my question and help me please.

I had an unprotected vaginal exposure with a sex worker 17 months ago since that time i have been facing up the health problem. for these past 17 months i had this stomach problem, Gastro doctor did endoscopy he foud an inflammation.

i had been very sick last month for past 22 day, did all kind of test but all were cleared doctors couldn't understand so they gave cefixime antibiotics to take it down. i have lost 22LBS

for the past 6 months my ears had a stuffed or fullness problem when i checked it to ENT. He said it has gone very bad and he will need to do a surgery.

So my question is that, are these all symptoms related to my post exposure with a sex worker? i had never been sick or never had any health problem before that in my entire life.

i had done series of HIV 1,2 Combo test in every 2 or 3 months, so i have many HIV reports which are non-reactive from 1 month of post exposure to 17 month of post exposure all are cleared.

i also did all STD test twice , which are also cleared.

are these symptoms related to HIV? i am so much worried.

Hello and thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver helpline regarding HIV/AIDS related information.

First of all a commercial sex worker does not pose a higher risk than anybody else regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, class, or sexual orientation.

The symptoms you are experiencing are not related to HIV. If they continue to persist I would encourage you to see a healthcare professional.

I would like to congratulate you for getting tested. The tests are conclusive because you had them at the 84 day or 3 month mark. We follow WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines regarding conclusive results.

I hope this helps to alleviate some of the worry you have expressed.

I trust that I have addressed all of your concerns, should you need additional information, feel free to contact us again.

In health,

Harman
