How large are the swollen lymph nodes? I have two lymph nodes one in my neck and the other in the elbow. The one in the neck has been there for around 4 months. These nodes are not visible and can only be felt when touched. They are tender.

What is the size of lymph nodes? Are they large or they remain invisible? How long do they last for? I got a rapid test at the 3 month mark and it was negative? I don't know what to do. I have no other symptoms like night sweats, chills etc.

Greetings,

The lymph nodes are not necessarily any indication of HIV or STI's. Testing is the only way to be certain of ones status, as HIV cannot be diagnosed on symptoms at all.

It is also unclear as to whether you have engaged in a high risk activity, warranting your concern about HIV? Given the limited information above, I can say that If you have concerns that you may have transmitted HIV or another STI, there is absolutely no harm in testing. In fact, we recommend to all sexually active individuals that testing regularly is important to your overall sexual health, as well as your partners.

If you had your test 3 months following your possible exposure, with no instances of risk between, than this is considered completely conclusive! I hope this helps to clear things up for you, all the best!
