Hello and thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline. We are happy to answer your question.

We are glad that you have been reading about the [4 situations](http://helpline.aidsvancouver.org/question/when-can-i-be-absolutely-positive-im-negative) that may affect the window period of an HIV test. Individuals who are living with an immunodeficiency disease are usually aware of it; such diseases are normally diagnosed in early life/infancy. It is best to partner with your local healthcare professional to find out if you are being affected by an immunodeficiency disease. Since we are trained volunteers, and not doctors, we cannot confirm that for you.

Our goal is always to help individuals get connected to the healthcare professionals needed. If you would need assistance connecting to a local healthcare professional in your community, feel free to email [us](helpline@aidsvancouver.org) confidentially.

Thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline.

Sincerely,

Marta
