Hi there!
Thanks for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline with your HIV related questions and concerns. We're happy to help!

I understand your concern over the situation you were in, and I hope my answer will be able to ease your worries!

The situation you described in whole is No Risk and I will explain why. Rubbing someone's body is No Risk because there is no exchange of bodily fluids. Even if, for example, you had cuts or something on your hand that came in contact with bodily fluid of hers, there still wouldn't be a risk since this wouldn't be adequate to provide direct access to the blood stream. In order to do so, a cut needs to be severe, such as one that's gushing blood or requires immediate medical attention such as stitches.

Kissing is also a No Risk activity since saliva cannot transmit HIV.

I hope this was helpful to you, please visit our website or avert.org for more great HIV information, and visit smartsexresource.com for safe sex tips!

Sincerely,

Christina
