What's the chances of getting HIV if I got negative for the raoid test during 1month exposures

Hello there and thank you  for using the AIDS Vancouver Helpline as a source of HIV related information.
Because up to 95% of infections can be detectable within 4-6 weeks, obtaining a negative result at 1 month is a great indicator of your status. However, as 3 months/12 weeks is considered conclusive, I encourage you to re-test again at/after 3 months. If you did the test by yourself with a home test kit, I suggest you to be tested by a healthcare provider.
Hopefully you find the information helpful. If you have any other questions/concerns, please feel free to write us back.
