Hi, I was the insertive partner with two different sexual partners recently. I wore a condom with both men, and after one encounter the condom was not broken but appeared wrinkled underneath my penis' head. Should I test due to this?

I also for a few seconds performed oral sex on one partner and he may have had pre-cum. Should I test?
Thank you.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to AIDS Vancouver, I'm happy to address your concerns.

It's great to hear that you are using condoms to protect you and your health. Condoms are very malleable, and since they are stretched while being worn, it's common for the latex to stick to the skin and cause wrinkles where there is a change, such as your penis shaft to the head. Since the head of your penis sticks out further, the condom can bunch up underneath (due to an imperfect fit). It should not be a cause for concern.

In regards to your concerns about oral sex, giving oral sex is considered to be low risk. For your own peace of mind, we here at AIDS Vancouver encourage sexually active individuals to incorporate HIV testing in their regular health checkups.
