Hi there. Thank you for using the AIDS Vancouver helpline forum,

It sounds like you are a bit concerned about your test results. Hopefully some information I give you will help bring some comfort to you .
I also want to add, you have taken a very good step for your health by getting tested.

Since we only have information about HIV and AIDS, I can provide you with information regarding your HIV tests. We at AIDS Vancouver, follow the official HIV testing guidelines that recommend getting re-tested at 12 weeks after possible exposure for completely conclusive results.
So I suggest getting retested one more time at 12 weeks.
I want to add though that the 4th Generation EIA test has a window period of 4-12weeks, and most HIV specialists consider this "DUO" test conclusive at 6 weeks.

For more information about STI tests check out this website:

If you ever have any questions and are living in the BC area, give our helpline a call! Our website also has much information about HIV testing.
I hope I was of some help to you!
