Hiii .. Im Abhy i live in india .. i had sex with a prostitute 4 month and 15 days ago the condom break during the intercourse then after the exposure i tested negetive at 21 day ,70th day and 89 day by tridot test .. on the 90th day from the first exposure i had sex with an unknown lady with condom no oral sex no kissing and as long as i remember the condom didnt break then after 20 days from the 2nd incident and 110 days from 1st i test negetive by hiv cmia antibody/antigen test and after 42 days from the 2nd incident and 132 days from the first incident i tested negetive by rapid screening test tridot .. i want to ask do i need to test again or not i m so worried from last few months

Hi there,

Thank you for your question. From what we gather from your question, you are asking about having to test again for HIV despite multiple tests coming back negative over the past few months.

The TRI-DOT rapid test and fourth-generation tests using CMIA are very sensitive to detecting HIV in individuals who are positive in the time frames you were tested (1). Given the number of negative tests you have gotten there would not be a need to get tested again.
