I had a small cut in my mouth that was red and im sure it was open, blood wasnt flowing out but im sure it could have. I sucked on a strippers breast, didnt taste blood nor did i taste milk or anything come out of her breast. she then gave me a peck on the lips.

What are my chances of HIV?

I know you may say, cut may not have access to the blood stream but since its in my mouth, ive read on the internet the whole mucous membrane stuff, will the cut INSIDE of my mouth cause me any problems?

Hi there and thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Online Helpline.

There is no risk of HIV from sucking on breasts while you have a cut in your mouth. Like you said, a small cut does not provide access to the bloodstream for HIV to be transmitted. In addition to this, saliva contains an enzyme that prevents HIV from being transmitted. It is also important to note that there must be a bodily fluid involved (such as semen or vaginal fluid) to acquire HIV. There are no fluids (other than your own saliva) involved when sucking someone's breasts.

For more information about HIV you can always visit the AIDS Vancouver website or CATIE.ca.

I hope this information helps to answer your questions.
