Is that statement that any hiv test result after three months is conclusive if there are no pre existing conditions, carved in stone? Is there no way that two rapid tests after six months could miss an his infection?
If signs and symptoms of hiv continue to multiply and worsen over three years, despite repeated negative rapid tests, would the possibility of test failure or failure of this person to produce antibodies, ever be considered?
I have partnered with many medical professionals , including mental health professionals and changed Drs three times. No relief , no life and all negative test results.

Hi there, thank you for contacting the AIDS Vancouver Helpline for HIV and AIDS related information.

To answer your question, you are correct, there is no way two rapid tests after six months could miss an infection! You do not have HIV!

Also there are no symptoms associated with HIV, any symptoms you are experiencing are no indication of your status. The only way you can determine your HIV status is by testing, which you have done.

I hope that answers your question and alleviates your anxiety regarding HIV, if you have any further questions please feel free to contact us again.

In health,

Arne, AIDS Vancouver Helpline Volunteer
